Hello all

Can anyone please advise me on how you drive from Dubai to Fujairah please?

Heading there for the weekend but not really got much of a clue as to how to get there...

just been there last weekend

head on emirates road to Sharjah
Head over national paints area
look for a sign saying 'eastern provinces' or something. DO not look for signs for Fujairah at this point.

You will be on the Al Daid road.

Head on this road till masaffi.

then on to Fujairah

easy peasy..

I think you'd be better to get on the bypass road and then you end up not even going through Dubai and the road is empty and it reduces the journey time.

National Paints R/A is a piece of cake travelling north before lunch. If you are going to Hotel JAL Fujairah, which is actually 40kms north of the town, quicker to stay on the Emirates Rd until Exit 119 (?) which is signposted for all the beach hotels. You then take a scenic trip over the dunes and reach Fujairah from the north. Whenever returning to Dubai from Fujairah I always take the new 611 bypass (or whatever) to avoid the National Paints snarl-up going south, which always seems much worse.

yeh I always took that route going to Dibba.
Emirates road until just before RAK then down the Truck Road to Dibba.

so in short either emirates road all the way or Dubai Bypass Road all the way?

If heading to Emirates Road from the Palm I would go up Umm Sequeim Rd - do i then take the signs toward Sharjah?

Also what is the best way to get to Dubai Bypass Rd?

yeh Um Suqeim Road onto Emirates road direction Sharjah/RAK.

Turn off just after ADNOC and before you get to the Dubai border, you can get on the Bypass road and come out the other side of Sharjah. My friend lives in Fujairah, PM me and I get you the full directions. Where are you going in Fuj?

ok if you're as bad as me with driving directions, the off road UAE guide is quite good and had GPS readings too...
