You obviously don't know what they get away with then?
Pop over to Umm Sequimm park of an evening and you'll see. It's the master race mentality I'm afraid.
That said, I've got a hell of a lot of time for locals. Pretty much every adult I've met has been great.

(1) Close to my home - 3 hour flight - you can do this 3 /4 times a year. Gives me comfort to think that if there is an emergency (parents being old and not exactly in good health), I shall be with them within 4 hours. 
(2) Tax Free Salary - ofcourse !
(3) Domestic Help (nanny, cook etc) easily available. Big advantage.
There - let me think of some more!
