Hi...I am coming out to Dubai in May and need somewhere to stay that will be near the places of interest, beaches/bars/shopping areas etc. Can anyone tell me which of the following hotels are in the best location? Or if they are no good can you recommend somewhere better for a reasonable price please? Thanks

Look at either to get a feel for where things are in dubai

here is a map, albeit not a great one, but will help you a bit. I favour the Dubai Marina end, but the hotels are more expensive than Deira or Bur Dubai. There is quite a bit to do around Bur Dubai. Some of those prices are extortionate though for what you get in return.
