Dubai bound
hello, new to this forum, but I will be coming out to dubai later this month to work in printing for 6 months or so. The first question I have concerns travel insurance to cover this length of stay, most travel insurance doesn't cover this period of time, I wll be having a 2 week break back in the UK after about 3 months. Anyone got any advice regarding insurance etc?

I got my 1yr travel insurance from HSBC, i wasnt aware or told that l had to return to my HOME address every 2months for it to be valid, as l was doing visa runs every 60 days l thought that l was still insured, untill l broke my leg and paid over 7000K at American Hospital.

Travel insurance is just that, it's not the same if your making a perma move, and for it to be valid, you've got to head home, so as mentioned, it'll be null and void for one way travel.

I wouldn't know about these things.
Maybe I should mention that my name is Leslie and I'm a 52 yr old male from Norwich.
This insurance malarkey isn't that simple as the ads make out unfortunately, oh well, have to get down to speak to some insurance companies soon.

What exactly are you looking to be insured against?
