Dubai Accomodation

Hi all, moving from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, working in Juneriah 1, anyone know of any good resonable blocks to rent a 2 bedroom and avoid 2 hrs in a car everyday.

Ideally round the DHS10,000 a month mark.

i'll take a drive round tomorrow and see whether anywhere is advertising and get some numbers for you...there aren't that many apt blocks here so not sure, you may need to move further out. Satwa is cheaper and very near, for example...

you will struggle to find a 2 bedroom apartment with facilities anywhere.
Mankhool or Satwa will be your best bet but it might even be a struggle there!

Whats the kind of rent I can expect to pay? Employers always seem to understate the rent and say dont worry you can find a place easy for that...

Satwa is next to Jumeira 1 but not many nice apartment blocks.
Mankhool is often known as Golden Sands area. close to J1 but traffic can be quite bad.

think you'll have to pay 140-150k per year in marina.
you'll get something around 120k in JLT opposite the Marina but its still very much a construction site will little in the way of facilities.

Thats not too bad, this is a massive help, hoping to have a serviced aprtament for a few weeks allowing me to explore and visit blocks. Paying 140K would that get pool and gym as well?

I thought Satwa was awash with buildings with green numbers and evictees?
Even Ravis & Smiling BKK haven't escaped - should we really be advising newbies to rent there?????
