Driving through Sharjah with girlfriend

Driving through Sharjah with girlfriend
Can I drive through and over Sharjah, Fujeirah and into Oman with my girlfriend and not get in trouble (seeing as we aren't related) or are they as bad as Saudi?

Why drive through Sharjah with all the roadworks etc.
Just head for the new Dubai bypass road, easiest way to get to Fujairah these days.

Also, keep in mind Sharjah is a lot more conservative so she probably cover up a bit more while going through especially if you stop.
Otherwise you'll be fine.

And even if you have an accident and your girlfriend is with you, that is not an issue. (although there is such a rule in Sharjah but unless you try to have a hotel room with her, I never heard of it being enforced...or else I would have spent my time in jail.)

They only ever check the ID of the driver nothing more and even if you were seriously hurt they would not uphold the rule

Hey, I lived in Sharjah for 4 years and it is not that much different from Dubai. I don't know why people make it sound as if it is little Saudi Arabia. Sure it is closer to Karama or Deira than Dubai Marina but that is about it.
