Driving in Abu Dhabi
I have heard all sorts of horror stories about driving in Dubai (and seen the photos!) but I am wondering if it is as bad in Abu Dhabi. To be honest, I haven’t seen much bad driving here, but then I haven’t been here long.
I am looking to buy a new car, and quite fancied myself in a nice little CLK, but perhaps I should be looking for something more robust, like a Chrysler 300C with a Hemi, or maybe a Toyota Hilux (I have never seen so many Toyota’s in my life, until I came here!).
Essentially, I need something safe, but a bit cool.
I was wondering what other people’s experiences were of driving here. Do all expats drive 4x4’s?
Oh, and what is an alternative to white? I know it's better for driving in this climate, but I just could not drive a white car.
Thanks guys,
Sam x

Re: Driving in Abu Dhabi
You can't buy a car until your residence visa is sorted.
The alternative to white would be black or anything in between.
