Default Dolphinarium

Has anybody been along to any of the shows yet? I know its very politically incorrect, but my daughter loves sea lions and they have some of them performing tricks as well, so I believe. And any idea why Monday shows are so much cheaper than other days?

Me and mrs spugsy went on an elephant ride in thailand, looked ace til the bloke who sat on its head kept smacking it on the forehead with a big stick until it did what he wanted. We were so high up and hanging over the edge of a mini cliff we couldn''t do anything but hang on for dear life.

The *****er, we made sure everyone knew about it.

Not sure how anti pc it is for sea lions though.

Looking forward to your review...don't forget to mention the viewing conditions as I believe the ticket prices can vary from Dhs30-200 according to seat location, age of visitor and some other variable which has slipped my mind.

it is a really tricky one, isn't it...my kids are desparate to go because some of their friends have been, but i really, really think it's wrong and don't want to take them...difficult to explain when they are only 3 and 5 though...

Well if it's not obvious then by all means go and enjoy pointless amusement at the expense of captive animals.

It offers no conservation value whatsoever and has no logical reason why it should exist.

It might help if she develops some empathy with the dolphins.

So lock her in her room for the next month, only letting her out for ten minutes every hour so she can perform tricks for your neighbours amusement whilst throwing her sweets if she does well.

I'm sure after a few days she may see the point you are making.

I had the same problem, and this is a school organised trip, she came running out of school shouting Mummy we are going to see the Dolphins, what was I supposed to do? she will make her own mind up when she is older
