Doha - can unmarried couples live together?

Hi,

My partner has just accepted a job in Doha. Is it possible for an unmarried couple to live together?

I'm pretty sure that they are not allowed to, but people do, its a question of if they get caught.

We live here unmarried, what Visa are you wanting to stay here on though?

It's an expensive pita if you can't stay here in your own right.
