Default A Dog's life

I know it's probably been asked 10,000 times here but I'm about to move to Jumeirah - just behind the Beach Club. Where can we take the dog? Activities to include jogging (that's the wife's idea), drinking either beer or coffee (my idea) and generally lazing around (also my idea). Foolishly I've done no research in this area so I'm hoping some of you friendly dog owners can help. We're moving up from Tanzania on our way back to the UK - which may take 6 months or 10 years, depends on how much we enjoy ourselves n UAE.

Fantastic - if you like dealing with complete inefficiency, corruption, laziness and embezzlement on a daily basis.

We take our dog to this place at the weekend:

www.pawspetplanet.com/dog-park

She loves it. She gets to hang out with loads of dogs, there's outside space and a pool... it's great. It costs AED 50 per dog.

How fantastic, I had no idea this existed. I'm definately going to take my 2 dogs there

It's great - they'll love it!

You need to book an assessment first, but this can be done on the day. They also need to have the Kennel Cough jab, which isn't routinely given.

I've just been on the phone and booked an appointment with the vets already for kennel cough jab. I'm more excited than the dogs will be! there's hardly anywhere they can go off lead here

Thanks LaLaLalya - we rescued a 6 week old pup at the side of the road in Dar Es Salaam a couple of months ago. He was being sold by a local youth - held aloft by his front legs - crucifixion stylee! He was about to die so we took him, he was so young he was still basically blind and been fed plastic and polystyrene. Anyway - other half now working in Dubai and we're joining her 30th Nov - when the dog is fit to travel.

What a gorgeous doggy, I still regret not bringing mine, I'm told he wouldn't have liked it here, no cattle to chase!
