What I do is irrelevant, although I can both spell and punctuate.

thanks for correcting me on that one,i wasnt asking what you do, i was making the point that it might be more difficult for somebody who is an employee of a company rather than someone who is self-employed or someone who runs their own company.

Thank you mod.
Its odd that a straightforward question can turn so quickly into a superiority contest.
So do you get public holidays off or not ?
I am not questioning the status of your job, street cleaner or queen of the may or your employment status, just asking a simple question.
I think thats 4 aye's and 1 no ??

I get them... Also, if I want an extra day - I'll just 'work' from home

er. No. However, what I do know is that if you piss off your employer you are out on your ear soon enough. Personally I couldn't give a toss if they fired me, I know they won't but I would still never push the law at them, it is a very small market here.

I work for a very big IT company, and I am very specialised in what I do. My manager admits there is nobody to replace me here and they are stuffed without me, but when we get HR issues I'm told to keep quiet or I'll be gone.
I could move elsewhere in the world, but we've been here a while now and like the place.
The politics here (internally and externally) are like no other place I have worked, as we get told at work 'the middle East is special'.
