Sorry about this, yes I'm new, but I checked out Wiki and previous threads, but unable to find an answer. I've got a Tesco Internet phone back here in the Uk and phone Abu Dhabi daily at a cost of 17p a minute (which is better than over £1 a minute on our landline). Anyhow I was told that if I send the other half a Tesco Internet Phone and he registers it online, but not as living in UAE, it would be even cheaper? Any UK expats out there using this system? Many thanks.

it did work last year, but its i believe now been blocked by etislat.

Thanks for that. Still confused over skype, some online users say its fine others say no. Do you have any knowledge on it? Have to say mine is very, very limited!

as other threads have mentioned...net to net is okay, net to phone not okay, but if you vpn through a proxy, you can get it to work...how to do that, well search the other threads.

It is possible to call UAE mobiles and land lines from your UK landline for 8or 9p per minute. If you want further info please pm me and I will send you the info.

To find the cheapest way to call the UAE use this

Usually works out about 8 or 9p as mentioned above using companies such as PhoneCheap and the likes.
