Do I need a Visa to work in a Free Zone?
Hello people
Apologies if this question has been asked before.
My Dad is looking to move to Dubai to work for 5 years and then retire. He is a Construction Director in the UK and would be hoping to be the same in Dubai, one stumbling block is that he has no qualifications but he does have over 30 years of experience in the Construction Industry. The job he has been offered is a "FREE ZONE", does he need qualifications to get a visa to work in a free zone?
Look forward to any replies

he needs to secure employment with a company. If that company is registered in the Freezone (FZE) then he will obtain a visa through the company..

In addition, he won't need qualifications to obtain a visa.

Laws are often different in Free Zones.
In particular a company based in a Free Zone does not need a local partner holding 51pct of the company. So foreign companies can have solely owned companies in Dubai.
The company I work for has 2 companies in the DMCC, is registering 1 in Dubai Maritime City and another in RAK.

> No need for a local partner with controlling stake in the company
> No corporate tax for minimum term
> 100% repatriation of revenue is permissible
> Duty free import and export on goods to and from companies in the free zone
> Usually have strategic locations and advanced infrastructure. Eg Internet city has techno infrastructure that facilitates IT firms.
