Disgraceful Saudi Behaviour

See... I gotta say im coming at this from a different angle. You go to work on an oil rig, you accept that there will be no smoking allowed, no booze, most likely no women. you go to work in a space station you accept that you will need to wear a space suit if you want to go outside...
you go to work in saudi arabia you accept that you cant have prayer meetings and informal interaction between unmarried females and males....
not getting into the right or wrong of it, but from a pragmatic perspective they were doing something they know the saudi police love to frown on, justified or not!
(of course the cavity searches later, etc is another matter)

Reminds me of the Christians who were persecuted 2000 years ago, thrown to the lions and all that. Then again, this isn't the first time Muslims have persecuted Christians...that's been an on off thing for 1400 years - they did annex and still hold around a third of "Christendom" after all.

Am I missing something here? They got done for "“illicit mingling” of unmarried persons of the opposite sex", not for praying.
So the argument is not about religion in this case, but the segregation law.

Is it ok to pray for some illicit mingling?
