Nah, already been more-or-less done by Ethos re how to use a washing machine, sad bastard. Mind you, I would like to know where to buy tomatoes in AD which a) are consistently available, b) are relatively-locally produced, c) have that right balance between being dirty enough to prove they've been grown rather than engineered and not battered, half-eaten or under ripe to the extent of being uneatable. (And is there anywhere that sells those big f**k-off bars of Cadburys rather than the sad, undersized apologies I've found so far?) Should I be on BEMILFs?

Lulu in Al Wahda Mall has really good on-the-vine tomatoes. Now I don't believe in all the "oh, it's on the vine so it must taste better" rubbish but these are actually comparable in taste to good European ones. Don't know what country they're from though as I ain't the one who buys them.

On a related subject, where can we buy fresh, live herbs (i.e. in pots, rather than some leaves in a sad plastic box)? Surely maquis herbs like rosemary and thyme would do quite well out here?

Scuzi has some cheap stuff and some shockingly expensive stuff, like SweetTarts for AED 10.

On the subject of tomatoes - the Dutch Cherry Tomatoes at Spinneys are the best thing going.
