On a more sensible note, who can sell and install a safe for me to keep the missus's jewels secure in Dubai?

You can buy small safes in Ace Hardware. They work with a battry powered combination lock (and a back up key) and can be bolted to the floor. They only cost a couple of hundred dhs so it's not exactly the Tower of London but they provide a bit of peace of mind. They are also supposed to be fireproof if you have any important documents.
