Default Desert Sewage Dump

http://www.gulfnews.com/nation/Envir.../10262561.html

"Dubai: A desert lagoon has been created for 500 sewage tankers to dump their load everyday to decrease pressure on the only sewage treatment plant in Dubai and to minimise ocean and land pollution, Gulf News has learnt"

"Najim told Gulf News. He said this technology is commonly used in countries that cannot afford proper facilities or infrastructure"

that would be here then.......

I love how they have used the word lagoon...

I can imagine it now.. pink flamingos dipping through the gently lapping waters eating turds.

what they mean is they've run out of ideas and probably money so dumping it in the desert where the few remaining tourists cant see it is the best idea they can come up with.

FFS Dubai this is shameful

Pink flamingos get their colour from a diet rich in alpha and beta-carotene.

They'll be shit flamingos before long...

You can also get some colour from a Pink Flamingo:

1 1/2 oz vodka
1 1/2 oz Cointreau orange liqueur
3/4 glass orange juice
1 dash sloe gin

Mix all ingredients, shake and serve in a tall glass.

No surprise there. Dubai's policy has always been leave the infrastructure until last then panic. This however is quite disgusting and unhealthy...imagine you're on your desert safari and over a dune you go and down you go into a big cesspit.

City that cares!
