Dan just some advice....I don't think your prof is out to get you. Perhaps she was a little insensitive and non-supportive in her corrections but don't take it personally. These kind of subjects are often highly debatable. It's not like math for example where there is only one right answer and anything but that number is wrong. I think your prof has certain expectations, whether reasonable or not, and she is looking for certain items to see present on your paper. So just give her what she's looking for and get her off your case. There is no sense in challenging her or throwing home made explosives at her . Good luck!
