Cycles to be banned from Sharjah roads next month
You couldn't make it up.

Anyone found violating the law will have their bicycles confiscated and sent to the scrapyard in Sharjah.
The rider or the bike?
And
Bicycles used for commuting will be banned next month. Because Sharjah's infrastructure is unsuitable for bicycles.
Well that'll get the tree huggers up in arms then!!
