Default CV for the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai)

Hello There,

I am moving to Dubai or Abu Dhabi with my husband and was wondering how to apply for a job there. I am originally from Europe where we include:

Picture
Marital status
Date of birth
Gender etc

In our resume and it is normally very detailed.

In the states it is one page, very plain etc.

So I was wondering, what are the guidelines in the United Arab Emirates. The more information the better. I am also interested in books or webpages that would help.

Thank you!

Standard CV, ditch the personal info these days, and the photo, unless your smoking hot

thanks for your answers!

is there a page limit? Strict format? Or are they pretty open... Do they want letters of former employees and university certificates? Is it ok to apply by E-Mail?
For ladies,is it ok to wear decent make up, smile and have the hair open (when wearing business clothes) on the picture?

As a general rule your CV should be no longer than 2 pages. No need to provide references and certs until you are actually offered a position.

Some people put their photos on, some don't. Yes it is okay to have make-up, hair down etc etc.
