From where?

Best bang-per-buck in the UK is the bmi one. Awesome deals.

In the UAE, they all seem to cost money.

It depends what airmiles you are after- if it is airmiles as in the scheme try HSBC if you are after an airline reward scheme I suggest Citicard- I believe that the Gold card which gives 1 skyward mile per US$ spent is free of any annual charge. The Ultimate and Ultima cards do have a yearly fee attached to them.

Hope this helps.

Nope to Citibank - gold costs 550 and even the silver costs 300.

I don't think it's fair to compare the Airmiles (blue card/white bird etc) with other airmiles schemes. On average spend I have had 3 business class upgrades on Emirates for my 550 Dhs Citibank annual fee, compared to 5 books and a set of PC speakers from my 3 years with HSBC/Airmiles. Go Citibank I say.
(If you take advantage of the inevitable screw ups from HSBC and complain well they do cancel the fee too)

Wasn't comparing....just stating

Also there is zero fee with a Premier card

Have to agree that they do screw up now and again - thankfully not with my credit card to date
