Re: Crazy interview questions
I was asked (on more than one occasion) "What are your weaknesses?".
This ranks up there with asking about current/previous salary...... the latter is none of their business, the former is moronic.......... ("Weaknesses? Well, my CV's a pack of exaggerated lies, I don't have any relevant experience, I have a criminal record.......")

I was asked that and strenghts in my interview. They wanted 5 and 3 weaknesses. I did struggle on both questions.

Re: Crazy interview questions
I had some really funny answers planned for that one but i thought if that's the kind of question you're going to be asking me, then this interview is going to be really short... the next questions were, "what car do you drive?" and "what do you drink in a bar?"
my response... "mind your own ****ing business"
i didn't get the job lol

Re: Crazy interview questions
In One interview I was asked
a) Any Traumatic experiences in my life and how did I cope
b) How well I got on with my father
c) How financially secure was I
I didn't answer any of them
Oh I didn't get the job either

Re: Crazy interview questions
I did have a group exercise during a recruitment day with one of the major City law firms.
- I was given a role which was adversarial to the other people in my group.
- They didnt stick to the guidelines we were given, and were proposing things that were explicitly ruled out in the rules for the group exercise
- I was looking to work for that firm in one of their specialised litigation departments (after my 2 year training). and that was clearly why I had got the interview
I got turned down for the job because some bint in HR thought I had been a little too pushy in the group exercise! :curse:
HR people should be eradicated! :curse:

Best interview I had ...best as in funniest ... was for a University Degree - where one interviewer was blind, and had his Guide dog by him... I found myself replying to the dog, and he kept cocking his head as he listened ... only just kept my laughter under control
Result = went to another Uni...

Ah, WS. Long time no see - and a spanking new avatar, too...
Being interviewed by a blind person, eh? The temptation to pull faces or strip off would be overpowering...
