I run a football club here.
Just been informed by one of my ex-players who now works for the manufacturers offices in Europe, that the 'official, branded' kit that i bought from the manufacturers distributor here in Dubai, is indeed fake.

The manufacturer have never made that kit in that style, or colour.
The label also stated a country of manufacture that the brand does not manufacture in.
He added that it was a very good quality fake, to make me feel better

Just to add insult to injury, this exact kit is still available in several chain sports stores throughout Dubai, so the distributor is still selling it...

Whether this is an isolated incident, or an example of something going on so more frequently here, remains to be seen.

By the way, don't ask me who it is.. I know how the law works here...
