On compound accommodation - Riyadh

Hi all,
I am new to this forum but from reading previous posts it looks like a great one without a doubt

Just i am currently negotiating a package with a Riyadh financials services company. They have asked me what my salary expectations are and they have virtually rejected what I put forward saying it is too high :( but are not saying what the max they will pay is.

I need to get back to them again with a revised figure but my approach now is to calculate it backwards as follows:

- they are offering an accommodation allowance = 3x monthly salary
- so I will work out monthly salary by dividing yearly accommodation cost by 3

I am coming to Saudi on my own so will work this out based on the cost of a 1 or 2 bed Compound apartment.

My question now is what is the current average cost of a 1 or 2 bed apartment in a Riyadh western compound?

I have seen a lot of good previous threads with figures , but these are from 3-5 years back and may not reflect the current situation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
