Commute time to Out Metha area
Morning All,
I start a new job and am relocating out to Dubai there at the end of May and am currently giving consideration to where I live. 2 favourites for now are the Springs and Old Town. My office is based in the Oud Metha area close to Lamcy Plaza/Movenpick Hotel. Could someone please advise me on respective commute times (leaving in morning around 7am and returning in evening after 6pm) to this area from the Springs/Old Town?
Any other recommendations would be much appreciated on other apartment possibilites to live close by to this area in order to avoid as painless a commute as possible. I heard there were apartments in this new Health City project close by but cannot find any information on them. I also researched a new project called Jumeirah 1 which I understand will complete soon.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Old Town is closer but pretty expensive and a lot of construction around it (but very nice) Springs is the other end of town - I have friends that do that commute and it's fine - but quite far...

Are the Brits invading Dubai this Spring? It seems like loads are moving here all of a sudden.

Commute is not too bad from the Old Town and it is pretty nice. As has been said construction surrounds it but if you are in the middle you hear very little. Not cheap.

I was also going to suggest the apartments in Healthcare City as well, great location. Springs -is all villas and I wouldn't like the commute. Jumeirah 1 is an area?

only just logged on! I would get sick of driving from the Springs to Oud Mehta, would rather be in 'town'
