Saudi Arabia restricts all other religions and it's not unknown for Christians to be arrested and lashed for doing things like meeting for Christian fellowships...you might want to re-think a Saudi posting if you have strong Christian convictions.

Thanks! I am familiar with the atmosphere in KSA re: religion. In doing some research i have found a couple of forum posts or articles that talked about some special circumstances and locations where the government had allowed westerners to have their own worship http://www.forerunner.com/forerunner...ress_of_t.html

I was hoping that someone here could give me some insight into Jubail.

and no....I was not going to ask you where I could buy a new Yamaka for my friend's barmitzvah

Not sure what a yamaka is but you can get sand proof yarmulkes in most parts of Jubail

Status of Christianity in KSA is illustrated in this 5-years old picture of Cristian church in Jeddah:

No any change in this field until now.

You can always drive the 1.5 hours to Bahrain. St Christophers Anglican cathedral has a service at 09.30 on a Friday. Slap bang in the middle of Manama. Little mixed culturally but large proportion of Europeans. Even a couple of left footers turn up there
