This may sound a bit of a stange thing to put in here but I just wondered if anyone would have a clue and be able to help me
My Husabnds ex lives in usa, we pay maintenece through an attachment of earnings on my husbands pay, its this way cz she decided to get greedy and go for more money so she registered the divorce in uk court where we live and judge decided to give the greedy ho what she wanted, more dola and attachment of earnings. Ok, we are now moving to uae so not going to be working for the employer where attachment of earnings are, does anyone know what happens

Not much.
Typically if you are working here then i dont think they can touch you....
unless you are working for a UK firm and are seconded over here...i.e still being paid in the UK.

From what i believe, there is little financial reporting between Dubai and the UK, so unless your being investigated for murder, money laundering or drug smuggling then you will have no problem.

The ex will have to agree to a private arrangement.

Check out the Hague convention... There are no reciprocal arrangements between the uk and the uae regarding children ( been there ) On the other hand, you don't want the child / ren to suffer, so you could transfer a set amount each month - enough to cover day to day expenses and not to cover the X.

There's pretty much sod all she could do about it in the US if you stopped paying...but if you ever head to the states, there could be a an issue, depends on the state, but it'll bugger credit rating.
