My friend is a cabin manager, the highlest level of staff on an aircraft after the pilots, therefore she gets the 'stadard' cheap flights but then she gets this extra lot for friends and family as well, she has to book the flights for me, I cannot simply do it myself. I might be able to dig up the list from my emails to show you.

Interesting, at Emirates we can still only do it for relatives and have to provide proof of relationship - if caught doing it for say a theoretical "cousin" instant dismissal! Maybe you are down as a houseboy

2 things I found out recently, brother in law phones Etihad call centre and got a much better deal than online ,though he was going AD to Dublin then onto Galway, secondly ASDA, yes the supermarket have Asda travel now and were doing excellent deals from anywhere to everywhere, so worth checking out

Re: Cheap flights to London
I am trying to book the cheapest return flight to London. From Dubai, or Abu Dhabi if it is cheaper. Jammy Dodgers mentioned flying Virgin for only Dhs600. Is that really true? Did it include all taxes, surcharges and fees?! If so that is amazing, how did he find that deal?

I'd say keep checking Etihads website.
I got two flights to bring my mum and son out from Manchester airport for 269 quid inc all taxes and that was a couple of weeks ago. However a friend just came out and paid the usual 550 inc tax so guess its luck
