Certificates Attested By UAE Embassy London
Hi All,
Firstly, just want to thank you all so far for being extremely helpful and responding so quickly to all my questions, I really appreciate the help !
I'm in the process of moving to Abu Dhabi, had my qualifications notarised, and legalised by the FCO, now I need to get them attested apparently. I'm struggling to find any information on the UAE embassy website regarding the Attesting Process, an address to send my certificates, whether or not to include a return envelope, and how much the Attesting costs.
Could anyone please point me in the right direction as to where I can find this information ??
Thanks.

Here you go
Embassy of the UAE in London » Legalisation
By the way when you are in the UAE you will then take them to the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs for the final stamp

Is CID clearance the police check ? If so, we didn't get one of those done so I can't help with that sorry.
All in my visa took around 3 weeks from entering the country to getting my visa and Emirates ID. I got my documents attested in one day by a local solicitor, and the attesting and legalization took around 7 days altogether.
Hope this helps, anything else I can help with just let me know!

There are lots of UK attestation services on google. Do a search for your area
https://www.wecertify.co.uk/?
I also found attestation services in London/Nottingham/Manchester

Thanks for your reply,
Perhaps I’m not using the correct terminology for it when I talk to the solicitors.
There are so many different ones. I have read ‘authenticated, notarised, certified, sworn, legalised’ I just don’t know which one!!! One website offers notary AND authentication of certificates and on the UAE Embassy website it says you need to have your certificates either notarised OR authenticated. I don’t know the difference so don’t know which one I’m supposed to do ?! It really is proving to be very complicated for me.

Thinking back when i did mine in 2006 it was notarised by the solicitor to prove its authenticity. They are just using the same words depending upon the terminology of the solicitors. You just need them to sign it to say it isn't a fake then it goes to the FCO in Milton Keynes and the UAE embassy in London
Personally i would go into one and speak to them face to face

Hi thanks,
And do you remember how much it cost roughly ? Another reason I feel like I’m not asking for the right thing is because I am getting quotes from£25 per certificate to £150?!

Am I basically getting them certified by a solicitor where they sign and date the copy?
This is not notarising then though. Nortorising is when they contact your university and get confirmation of awards. See these are two very different things and the UAE Embassy says you can do one or the other ? Thanks x
