what worries me now is how long it will take THEM to get things ready at their end before I start the ball rolling here. I am definitely getting an agent now..!

Re: Certificates Attestation KSA

So my prospective employer has sent all the necessary documents for my visa and instructed their agent here in London to help me. I emailed my qualifications to the agent for him to pass them on to SACB and was thinking all good and dandy when I received an email saying verification request rejected since my name on the certificates is not identical to that on my passport. I have a very long first name (made up of 4 names) and I tend to only use the first part on practically every document except plane tickets and it has never caused any issues until now. I was advised to either change my name on the certificate or the passport. Contacted uni and they said certificates are legal documents and they can't amend them. The thing is I have never changed my name and we were asked closer to the graduation ceremony how we liked our name to appear on the certificate for it to be read out on the day, hence I chose a shorter version rather than the whole thing. To complicate things the name on the BSc certificate is different (slightly longer version of my first name) to the one on my MSc.
Any suggestions??

It may be easier to get the documents attested by a local solicitor, plus a document from your university confirming the certificates were awarded to you, stating your full name.

My certificates are missing my middle name and I've had no problems, although the transcripts - actually a letter from the uni explaining they couldn't provide any ) - contains my full, three names.

Thanks a lot. Sounds like a good idea. Was this for Saudi though?
Did you not try to get the university to issue a replacement with the correct name??

Because you’ve never applied to work in the Middle East until now where such things are always going to be flagged and cause issues, particularly in Saudi.

Go with the advice suggested but be prepared for constant issues with this if you get to Saudi. For one thing, I would be very careful that your iqama, for example, matches your passport.
