Car purchase finance - Doha

Looking for some advice on the best way to finance a car. After leasing for a year, which has been trouble free and got a courtesy car during service, am back to considering buying.

Have been to a couple of dealerships and both have said get a loan from the bank. Said it was too much hassle to go through the dealership and I would need a Qatari guarantor.

So is it a case of going to the bank? Do dealerships not do some sort of lease deal with a payment at the end? Don't want to pay out a large amount of my own money on a depreciating asset.

Most dealers offer leasing mate but the rates are generally shit. Compare the price from your bank and a company called First Finance which I have had customers use and get good rates. Which dealerships have you been looking at? and I have never heard about anyone needing a Qatari guarantor - sounds like a salesman that cant be arsed.

To get a loan you do need a letter from your employer (as with everything) and you need to have finished probation. Then its just the bank agreeing to lend you the money!
