Car hire without an Iqama
Hi all,
After changing my sponsor, I have just returned to Jeddah to await my new Iqama, I have been to a car rental company today to be turned away, as my Saudi driving licence is attached to my old Iqama...
Is there a way around this, as the thought of being without a car for the next month just does not work?

Iqama-less people (like myself) hire cars OK. I use my UAE license with the International Driving Permit.
Try a big car hire chain with your home (UK?) license.

Budget and my Irish license worked for me for more than 8 months.
