Can you go to Dubai with a criminal record
 

Hi,

Im currently having hell at the minute getting a visa for the USA as I have a criminal record.

As far as I know only the US have these silly rules.

Can I goto Dubai like any other UK citizen and just get a visa on arrival despite me having a criminal record?

You can get a tourist visa with a record in Dubai, but not sure about work visa. Some people have to provide police records apparently. Not sure who or why?

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that a 'Police Record' was a prerequisite of Visiting Dubai?
