Can a UK Expat working in Doha travel to Dubai
Hello all
Quick question for you. Can a UK expat working in Qatar travel to Dubai ( Via Kuwait or Oman) without any issues? I have getting conflicting stories from people saying yes and those saying they will be turned away at DXB for having a Qatari employment visa in their passport.

"On 4 June 2017, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut diplomatic ties with Qatar. This has led to closures affecting road, air and sea routes between these countries and Qatar, as well as travel and residence restrictions affecting Qatari nationals. Restrictions on entry to the UAE have also been placed on certain holders of Qatari Residence Permits. These restrictions don’t apply to British nationals."
I have heard of British Nationals with a Qatar RP in their passport being questioned at UAE airports, but eventually allowed to continue their travels.

Never heard of a British (or any passports that get VOA in the UAE) being prevented to enter the UAE. Those stories are always of a friend of a friend of a friend. Never heard actual people with UK or US passports saying they were not allowed to enter.
But the stories of being forced to wait for a hour or two before being let in seems to be true, but it's also random rather than everyone. I have a British flatmate who's currently in Dubai on a work trip. Got in without any issues.
Legally, according to the rules established by various international treaties that the UAE is also a signatory to, they cannot prevent UK passport holders into the UAE as that would be treating one UK national differently from other UK nationals. Holding a Qatari residency visa does not impact this. All the embassies made this explicitly clear to the UAE government when the embargo first began.
