Yes. It is Turkish. You can try it at the Europe forum. Maybe someone can help you there. Or if you can wait until next Wednesday I would ask my co-worker. He is currently on a business trip.

Regards
André

HAHAHA!!

I've gotten chewed out before for calling Egypt an African country. Apparently, because some Egyptians "consider" themselves part of the Middle-East, I'm the stupid one for saying they were on the African continent (what was I thinking?).

http://www.worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/af.htm

BTW......I "consider" myself a gorgeous 22 year old super-model. It really pisses me off when people call me an "OK looking 37 year old that's holding up pretty well (for her age)".

Hey, I'm one of those stupid Americans...LOL. I figured it was considered the Middle East since it's major borders are Iraq, Syria and Iran. Hell, I even looked it up on the map to make sure I wasn't smoking crack, and according to the maps I looked at, it was part of the Middle East. Damn, I'm stupid...LOL.

Yes, I'd be willing to wait a few days. No big rush. The text is from a hacker, and with people like that...I'm patient.

I am not 100% sure but I think I see Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes, Ed McMahon, and Prize Patrol in there...

Hey Polaris,

There are a lot of Turkish/American couples posting in USMBV that could probably translate that for you.

I seriously doubt Rete would let you leave it posted in there though. I guess you could try it as an OT if you felt like it.

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone can translate this for me. I think it's Turkish, but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance.

Dalgalan sende şafaklar gibi ey şanlı hilal;

Olsun artık dökülen kanlarımın hepsi helal!

Ebediyyen sana yok, ırkıma yok izmihlal.

Hakkıdır, hür yaşamış bağrağımın hürriyet;

Hakkıdır, Hak'ka tapan milletimin istiklal!

Hello.

I found a site that translates for free, mainly volunteers and I sent the text to them.
Heres what came back.

Hi... (friend)..
I couldn't read full of your translation request but I think it's the text of the Turkish National anthem.

I send you the first 2 paragraph in Turkish and English of it:

TURKISH LYRICS

Korkma, sönmez bu safaklarda yüzen al sancak;
Sönmeden yurdumun üstünde tüten en son ocak.
O benim milletimin yildizidir, parlayacak;
O benimdir, o benim milletimindir ancak.

Catma, kurban olayim, çehreni ey nazli hilal!
Kahraman irkima bir gül! Ne bu siddet, bu celal?
Sana olmaz dökülen kanlarimiz sonra helal...
Hakkidir, hakk'a tapan, milletimin istiklal!

ENGLISH

Fear not and be not dismayed, this crimson flag will never fade.
It is the last hearth that is burning for my nation,
And we know for sure that it will never fail.
It is my nation's star, shining forever,
It is my nation's star and it is mine.

Frown not, fair crescent, for I am ready to die for you.
Smile now upon my heroic nation, leave this anger,
Lest the blood shed for thee be unblessed.
Freedom is my nation's right,
Freedom for us who worship God and seek what is right.

Sincerely Hassan,

He sent me another Email saying that the text you have is the last paragraph of the turkish national anthem, but is badly written.

Hope it helps.

Egypt is an African Country! But Don't tell this to an egytian.

The Egytian women always wear's Hijab even on Jeans and short skirts , just TO HIDE THEIR CURLY HAIRS.

And how long are these curly hairs if a short skirt will not cover them?

Thanks "honeymommy",

I got word that my website had been hacked, and that was the text in the index.html file. I was wondering what it said, because it was some Turkish hacker that did it. Looks like he's been a bit busy lately.

It's Hijab (the head cover) which is almost a national dress code of Egypt.... It looks so funny the hijab with skin tight dress. Well Like i said you the reason.
