Does anyone have any problems when calling saudi. I have tried to call a contact in Saudi Aramco on his landline and mobile but cannot even get connected.

Is it a religious thing there to cut the phone lines on a thursday??

na mate thats just saudis for you. getting saudis to answer the phone, return calls, do any work, be there on time for a meeting or in fact ever even showing up is a nigh on impossibility. their weekend ends on tuesday around 10.00am and starst again at about 12.00 on wednesday

I pretty much refuse to work with saudi companies now after getting calls during ramadan at 2.00am and 3.00am!!! its a friggin miracle that saudi even exists let alone functions and if they get their way with their extreme nationalisation policy it will cease to work at all.
