Default Buying gadgets, computers in Bahrain

Hello all,

I am soon moving to Bahrain and wanted to know if Bahrain is a good place to buy some geeky gadgets due to not having tax? If you also know the best shops for computer equipments and gadgets in Bahrain, let me know.

Thank you very much in advance.

Ag dead give away Mr Brightonguy. Is you of Indian descent ?

I have purchased shit loads of electronics in the UAE and Bahrain but only when absolutely shitfaced so have no idea really whether I got a bargain or not however my 182 BHD Iphone 4S seems to have been a steal as the Mrs now wants one and with the possibility of Facetime porn in the offing I am only too happy to oblige except they are now all 240 bhd for the 16GB thingymabob

Bought a Bose iPod dock at the airport duty free, seemed like a good deal.

It may be 'no tax' but it doesn't actually work out that much cheaper. I tend to buy online and get my gadgets sent to me (with the exception if I want it NOW of course ).

Yup. No tax doesn't equal lower price. It equals fatter margin for the retailer.
