Buying Car - Riyadh
I have decided that it was time for me to stop throwing money away with rental cars and get my saudi driving license to buy a car.
Any advise on where/when/what from the sand pit dinosaurs would be appreciated.
I'm looking for moderate budget and not bothered about having the biggest flashiest car. Half decent and reliable wheels (n good airbag and AC obviously) would do the trick.
I know the best option is to buy from other expats but so far word of mouth has only managed to bring me a twisted tongue.
Tara,
Emt.

Hi have a look at these two sites the first one is updated a couple of times a day
http://www.expatriates.com/classifieds/saudi/vehicles/
http://sa-motor.com/index.php?option...tpage&Itemid=1
When you do buy your car if you would like to check out this site
its the same as the rac / aa back in the uk and is valid all over the GCC not just in Saudi.

Re: Buying Car - Riyadh
Will check these out.
Had a look at sa-motor before and have come across some very dubious deals (hidden number plates, diesel cars, non existing models...).
Do you know if there are any show rooms in Riyadh worth visiting or is it best to go around all the dealers?
Thanks,
emt.

At the Top end of the Khuruis Road on the Right just after Al Sadhan
There are about 4 streets full of second hand car dealers and even a street where you can sort out the transfer of owner ship shops as well.
If you are looking for a new but not used second hand type then yes the main dealers have the showrooms.
But again whta type of a car are you looking at??
