That's what BNI do except they have more structure, charge money and meet at 6:45am...but from what I heard despite it's success in Dubai and internationally the one group in Abu Dhabi wasn't really of use to most members.

Maybe we don't like getting up in the morning in AD

I think there's a couple of reasons for the early start.

First it sifts the serious from the casual. And second most of us are too busy the rest of day (and things tend to crop up unexpectedly in the evenings) so mornings make sense...I'm a night person but if there's a structured and professional method of getting a steady stream of qualified referrals for my business and others in the group then getting up a bit earlier once a week isn't an issue

I'm going to one of their open events tomorrow morning and am more concerned about the professionalism and disciple of their members from what I have seen so far of their Abu Dhabi crowd more than anything - networking of any kind only works if people are open minded, serious and willing to help each other...

totally agree with you but BNI doesn't do much to help Mum's who have careers and also have school runs. I have organised three networking events in Dubai which were all hugely successful (blows on trumpet bit it's true), got alot of positive feedback from the people who attended. So go for it, set it up and let it flow, get a facebook group set up
