Expat travel insurance.
Hi,
I work abroad in the Middle-East on rotation and classed as a UK Non-resident.
I'm finding it difficult to obtain travel insurance as the polices insist that you are classed as a UK permanent resident.
Can anyone recommend a company that could provide me cover while on holiday?
Many thanks
Mick

Plenty of them.
World Nomads is what I use when I travel.

I use Axa Travel Smart Multi-trip. Works for me in Qatar, regularly traveling to the UK.

When I lived in Saudi there was a large choice of companies offering residents Travel Insurance., I had AXA but also from other providers. Really expensive if travelling to the States.
Do not forget that prior to BREXIT and maybe after it, depending on negotiations your EHIC might be useful

I've used them a few times, never had to make a claim, but a friend did (when her husband had a serious climbing accident in the US) and said they were very good - one phone call en route to hospital and it was all covered thereafter direct.

Worth checking the EHIC is still valid. Needs renewal every 5 years, but can be done online for free.
