H1 N1 UPDATE
• On Sunday 7 June, HM Ambassador and HM Consul had a meeting with the Saudi Health Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah to discuss planning and monitoring developments following the detection of a second case of swine flu in the Kingdom.
• During the meeting the Minister has assured HM Ambassador that the Ministry of Health has sufficient stocks of Tamiflu, in line with the levels suggested by World health Organisation (WHO). He stressed that additional stock was being procured to ensure sufficient levels during the HAJJ.
• The Minister of Health also confirmed that Tamiflu would be prescribed to those who needed it regardless of Nationality.
