Not to sway people away from this great site or anything, but there's another new one that's pretty nice, more along the lines of just chewing the fat and not having to worry about language, plus, no one in the ME section yet...nor the far east either...

:D Thanks Heart and I hope you are enjoying a lovely New Year too. Haha it doesn't take me too long to 'kick up' again LOL. However, the news kinda keeps 'kickin' up' as well and everything else pales into nothing really. :(

So....I have donated my clothes and blankets (feels pretty inadequate under the circumstances of the sheer scale)...hasn't made me feel a great deal better but what to do??? :confused:

I have decided that instead of staring at the TV all day I am going to challenge myself by cooking a full Turkey (Xmas) dinner :scared: The catch is that I only decided this morning so the turkey is still frozen PMSL. Anyway, it is being coaxed into some sort of cooking capacity and looking good (all suggestions gratefully accepted). The checkout girl did have a snigger on my account when I told her not to wrap the turkey too much I was taking it home on the roof of the car to thaw it out quicker. Hmmm u can see the Kaleej headlines now "Displaced turkey causes 10 car pile up!" :eek:

Anyway, been with the in-laws and having BIL over for the week, so won't be aorund much, so don't know how the othe place is turning out either...
