Blue Badge (disabled parking) Abu Dhabi

Hi all - does anyone know if disabled blue badges apply in UAE? Is there an equivalent one can apply for there? thanks

just park on the curb right in front of the building you want to be...it's the norm...oh, and if you don't want to get out of the car, just honk a few times and you'll be served.

An EU badge doesn't apply here (why would it?), but it is possible to apply for a Disabled Parking Permit. In Dubai you have to apply to the police, so I assume it's the same in AD. A medical report is required.
