The TRA has today announced that BlackBerry services will continue in the UAE as they are now compliant the UAE's telecoms regulatory framework.

@ EmiratesMillhouse

Don't have a BlackBerry so wasn't particularly bothered whatever happened. Just posted for those who might be interested.

Hope things are going well for the Millhouse family at AR.

Wasn't having a dig ... In fairness I'm disapointed by the news. I've been without my blackberry for over a month and love it!

AR is brill. Pools and villas are fantastic. I should have listened to you more about Reem and the zillions of speed bumps though... !

BB was the bane of our lives for many years. So glad we don't have one now.

Happy that you're enjoying AR. To be fair though, it was somebody else who mentioned the number of speed humps. Even where we live in Saheel we've had to negotiate 7 of them in just over 1km between Gate4 and Gate 1 (the exit onto the Motor City mini r/a. Although the particularly vicious one which was a screwed down version with several different sections (number 4) suddenly disappeared this morning sometime between us leaving at around 11.15am and returning at around 1.30pm. It had been disappearing bit by bit for a while though. Best guess is that it will be replaced by a concrete one before too long.

FYI, the community pool area at Saheel 3 has adult pool/childrens' covered pool, childrens' play area, tennis court, basketball hoop as well as a green area for bbq and changing rooms. Know of a few people from other communities in AR who use this area because it's one of the few which has all the facilities. If you're interested go into Saheel 3 via Gate 4 (on the road towards the golf club), turn right after the security gate, then left and the pool area is straight ahead at the end of the road. Plenty of parking available.
