Best british schools in Dubai

Hi Everyone,

Another post from me. Thanks for your help with previous posts.

I need help with outstanding British schools for year 5 and 3. What are there names, what are there waiting list etc.

Moving to Dubai myself later this year and have been looking for schools.

I found this useful as you can select by curriculum and also check availability and fees (although i would contact the school to confirm on those).

Google: Which School Advisor then go to school search and adjust the filters

Go for one of the not for profit ones.

Don't go near gems. Ever.

Mates kids are at Jumeriah Primary which is a Gems and they are flying both at academics and in sport. it is also ranked outstanding

Thanks LONtoDXB for which school adviser . Is there any ofsted rating in Dubai?.

iknowdavid why not Gems? any particular reason?. reddiva i have heard Jumeriah English speaking primary school is quite good

The KHDA ratings are the equivalent and you can find recent reports (that n the khda or schools websites) to gauge the level/ranking of the school.

Preach.

Go for a quality, well ranked school. Not just where the majority the kids are white and western.

Also, you might pick the best school in Dubai but get unlucky with the worst teacher in that establishment. It's a bit of a gamble but you have opportunities to give yourself very, very strong odds.

Because the company is more interested in money than in education.

GEMS is fine in UAE. Yes despite being a profit seeking operation. Had friends with kids at GEMS.

Not sure where all the money goes with these not for profits. Knowing first hand what the staff get paid (wife was a TA) and how much the fees are (had 2 kids in primary)
