best bank account in UAE (abu dhabi)
Hi everyone,
I am preparing for the big jump to UAE, I'll be in AD starting from September. For sure I'll need to open a bank account asap. Which bank do yopu think it's the best one if you're looking 4 internet banking facilities and cheap fees on wire transferts from UAE to Europe?
Any suggestion is highly appreciated
Marco

I've no problems with HSBC. I set up a standing instruction (FREE) to send back 1500pounds each month to my UK account.
I also got the Etihad credit card from them

I use Lloyds TSB. Internet banking, minimum balance of 5000AED, and two free transfers back to the UK every month.
Only problem for me is I get paid into my UK account.

Hi there,
I'm just opening one with Lloyd's as my colleague has had a good expereince with them, another colleague also rates HSBC.
I started out with Barclays but that was a total disaster - appaling service - it's been open almost two months i still don't have a PIN or internet banking details!!! - avoid it and tell everyone else to avoid it if you can. When i was last in to tell them i was moving another gentleman was also complaining bitterly as he put it "I don't need a coffee shop (they do good coffee) i need a competent bank!"
