Bank loans
I want to borrow some money but find my bank (Lloyds TSB) give terrible interest rates. However, I don't have any desire to switch bank accounts at the moment.
Are there any banks out there who give personal loans to non-customers? Or do they all insist that you open an account and transfer your salary there?

Hi,
Beware of hidden charges. Also, although they might put 8% int rate in your loan document, if you read the fine print, it might well say that the interest rate is subject to change at the sole discretion of the bank- without notice.....etc etc. Plus they will then charge you for account statements, liability certificates etc etc. So better ask in advance and please don't forget to read the terms and conditions with a magnifying lens (they always seem use font 5.5 - fine print & all )
Cheers

I think I have a comparision of Personal Loans offered by various banks - let me see if I can find it - mind you - though this is basically for salary based loans

Re: Bank loans
Thank you. I'd appreciate it.
The loan isn't for a huge amount of money so the interest rate isn't going to bother me that much. And I plan to pay it off within a year anyway.
I might even just take the cash out on my credit card actually...
