Does anyone have any idea of what the rent would be in a small furnished one bedroom flat in Bahrain?

When I was there a year ago a 2 bed furnished and incl all facilites, sat tv etc was about 500 a month.....from memory.

We moved here 10wks ago and I only looked at 2br ones, all around 600
(the one we decided on is 600 all inclusive).

Depends on the area really.
You can choose to live in the 'city' - in the heart of Manama or Al Hoora and pay 200-300BD, but the place might not be up to 'western' standard.

Somewhere like Juffair (lots of expats) or even Adliya, is a bit less crowded, but you may pay between 400-600BD.
I did see a few 1-bedroom places, and they were 400-450, but i don't think they're that common.

thing is i may have found a job in Bahrain and as i am in khobar , KSA and wouldnt be able to commute my only option is to live in Bahrain but with a 600 dinar salary it would only make sense if either the employer throws in accommodation for me or i find a very cheap and cheerful place 2 live as i dont want to be spending all i earn on rent! would kind of defeat the purpose of me getting a job and earning money

grrr its so annoying...
