Asian ( Thai ) foodstuffs in Riyadh

So my wife has just joined me and all is good but we are having trouble finding some of the food ingredients that she wants . Been looking around at a few local shops that have Indonesian of Pinay goods but the selection is poor. Went to Batha Market yesterday but it seems to be more geared up for Indian stuff . Looking for somewhere catering more to SE Asian cuisine rather than South Asian . We live in Al Rayan district . Any ideas about where to go where there is a good range of goods . Specifically want Thai stuff , not Pinay or Indo .

Isn't there a shop selling Thai food next to the Villa restaurant at the end of Uroubah?

That is good to know if true , been thinking of going there because that restaurant seems to get quite good reviews . Wife is a trained chef though so that's why we need the ingredients

I loved the Villa restaurant when I lived in Riyadh, perhaps only because there weren't many alternatives but the food always seemed great to me. I haven't found a better Tom Yam Gung soup in Dubai anyway (anyone got any recommendations?) The Thai embassy likes the place enough to put a map on their website: http://riyadh.thaiembassy.org/thai_restaurants.htm - Chumpoo food store is the place to go.

There are two places you may find Thai ingredients
1. Carefour Granada; Import many fresh stuff from Thailand
2. Lulu hyper market, Olaya-South; You may find a lot of Asian ingredients

In additional, many Thai restaurant especially Kruathai offer an import foodstuff from Thailand.
good luck
