Yeh definitely - they have experienced life and schooling in another country - they have met a whole different community of kids from many different parts of the world - its been a totally different environment - some positives - but fewer negatives - they have become more adaptable and ready for change - they know what its like to uproot and start all over - formative years.

I'd second that. My kids have spent over half their lives in Saudi now. I agree with all of the above.

You have to remember that a child's perspective on a place is very different to an adult's.

Although my kids are leaving on final exit at the end of this year for various reasons, I've no regrets about them being here.

They've seen and experienced things that other children can only imagine. Even if all of that is negative(which I don't believe it is), it still makes them realise how lucky they are to be able to go and live somewhere else.
